The need to determine if our Fido has a fever has always been a cause of great concern: in fact not everyone has a thermometer suitable for pets, or in any case not always feel like taking a rectal measurement. Despite this, understanding the conditions of our furry friend in a timely manner remains essential for safeguarding his health, so we must always be careful. 

Fever is a symptom, not the disease, so it must be treated as such.

In fact, it never shows itself on its own, but is always accompanied by other symptoms: hot nose and ears, long and abnormal sleep, labored breathing and lack of movement to name a few. But how can we be sure that it really is fever? In fact, sometimes the increase in internal temperature is just a false alarm, a temporary alteration due to external factors (excessive heat) or anxiety and stress (veterinary visits). The solution is always to keep our pet hydrated and take it to a specialized clinic as soon as possible, where they will surely know how to understand and analyze the real conditions of your faithful friend.

While waiting for the veterinarian's intervention, however, a tool capable of detecting the pet's body temperature in real time and without being invasive could prove to be really useful.
